Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada, an Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in numerous television shows. Born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents left for the US where they were granted asylum. She is the middle daughter of two siblings and was brought up within Northern Virginia. Ghanizada made her debut on television by appearing in numerous National Commercials. The Laura Neri film A Kiss on the Nose (2004) Ghanizada was the principal character in Chiara a performance for which she won the film festival's best actress nomination. The TV shows she guest starred in are How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells NUMB3RS bones Psych and Castle. Recently, she was in the sci-fi action film Blood Shot (2009) and the independent comedies You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada began her career in the General Hospital Prime-Time spinoff General Hospital. Season 2 of General Hospital Night Shift, she played the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra who is a holistic doctor. Ghanizada was cast in the role of Kelly the Prada salesgirl in HBO Entourage. In 2009, she was a part of the Tough Trade pilot from Weeds' creator Jenji Cohan, and executive producer T Bone Burnett.
